Alterlibrary is a dynamic digital space where knowledge is not just stored, but constantly reborn. Unlike traditional libraries, it’s designed to evolve with each interaction, offering  diverse collections of "Renewable Sources" that span both visual and textual materials. Here, information doesn’t sit in alphabetical or hierarchical order; instead, it lives in a network of connections, fostering a rich interplay among ideas and challenging established knowledge structures.

Alterlibrary creates an environment that highlights relational and lateral communication among the sources and challenges hierarchies of knowledge. In this environment, each interaction generates new connections between texts and images. Each element of the collection is part of a transformative process which weaves different sources of knowledge, comments and links into a web of thoughts expanding the possibilities of social imaginaries. 

Users are encouraged to dive into these “textscapes” and “imagescapes,” engaging in an imaginative, co-creative journey.  Alterlibrary treats knowledge as fluid, interconnected adaptable, inclusive and  endlessly renewable resources inspiring our visions for new social and ecological futures.
